SPR UK & European Chapters 4th Joint Conference

Psychotherapy practice and research: Finding the common ground

Welcome to Oxford!

This joint conference, co-hosted by SPR UK & European Chapters will focus on psychotherapy practice and clinical applications of research. The results of psychotherapy research have increasingly impacted on psychotherapy practice and delivery over past years. However, key issues remain including, among others, how to understand and apply research findings; overcoming obstacles to clinical applications, and finding meaning and relevance in research to promote effective and improved practice and clinical intervention. This international conference promises to be a lively and stimulating coming together where practitioners and researchers from a wide range of clinical modalities and research orientations share their practice, research and experiences. Innovative and up to date research will be shared alongside debate. The conference programme includes panel presentations, paper sessions, workshops and poster sessions. The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues with differing interests and expertise in clinical applications of research.

The conference will be held in the beautiful setting of the Examination Schools, Oxford, UK. The conference venue can be viewed at: www.venues.ox.ac.uk A formal conference banquet will be hosted in the impressive Grand Hall at Balliol College: www.balliol.ox.ac.uk
