Conference Venue: University of Toronto

of our 48th International Annual Meeting in Toronto

The conference venue is the University of Toronto, located in the heart of downtown. It is the largest research intensive university in Canada with over 58,000 students. A collegiate university with twelve colleges, each of which differ in character and history, and retain substantial autonomy with respect to financial and institutional affairs. The conference will be hosted by Victoria University, one of the twelve colleges.

Victoria College is somewhat separated from the downtown campus being situated on the eastern border of Queen’s Park Circle. It was established in 1836 and in 1890 federated with the University of Toronto. Located immediately south of Bloor Street (at Charles Street West), it is close to numerous restaurants, parks, shops, and museums. The conference will be held in Emmanuel College and the Northrop Frye Building adjacent to Victoria College. Some distinguished alumni of the college include Donald Sutherland, Northrop Frye, Margaret Atwood and Lester J. Pearson
